The MA885 digital refractometer is an optical instrument based on the measurement of the refractive index of a solution. The measurement of refractive index is simple and quick and provides a recognized method for the analysis of the sugar content. After performing a simple and rapid calibration with distilled or deionized water, in a few seconds the instrument measures the refractive index of the sample. The digital refractometers eliminate the uncertainty associated with mechanical refractometers and can be easily portable for measurements in the field.
The refractometer Milwaukee employs international references and recognized for conversions of units of measurement and temperature compensation.

The temperature is displayed with the measurement on the large dual level display in ° C and ° F. They also display helpful messages, icons and battery indication being phased out.
